Shrimp Gumbo

½ onion chopped

1 red bell pepper chopped

2 celery sticks peeled and chopped

1 c. cut okra  (fresh or frozen)

1 Tb. Wondra (regular flour if fine)

1 ½ tsp. Nawlins Shrimp Seasoning (more if you prefer hot and spicy)

2  (14 ½  oz.) cans stewed tomatoes (either plain, Mexican or Italian seasoned)

1  ( 10 ½  oz.) can chicken broth (preferred brand – Manischewitz)

½ lb. fresh shrimp peeled and cleaned

In a large pot, sauté onion, bell pepper and celery until soft.  Mix okra with flour and Nawlins Shrimp Seasoning and add to pot.  Sauté another minute.  Add stewed tomatoes and chicken broth and simmer ½ hour.  Add shrimp and simmer 2 minutes.
